Guest speaker: Wendy LoweWendy has been a dedicated public participation practitioner since 1989, bringing decades of experience to complex and often controversial projects. She has led engagement efforts for federal, state, and local clients on issues ranging from nuclear waste cleanup and sensitive species conservation to hunting ethics, skydiving operations, and childcare. Her work focuses on designing and implementing public participation programs that meet clear objectives while facilitating respectful, collaborative processes that draw on diverse perspectives.
A member of the International Association for Public Participation since 1992, Wendy has served in numerous leadership roles, including International Board member, USA Board member, chapter officer for the Intermountain and Colorado Chapters, and licensed trainer for more than two decades. Since 2014, she has chaired IAP2’s Professional Certification Task Force and serves as an assessor for the program. In 2018, she proudly earned her own professional certification through IAP2.
